Home Remedies for Arthritis

Millions of people in the world suffer from Arthritis as their muscles, ligaments and bones become weak, inflamed and they have severe and miserable pain in the affected joints. Movement of the joint becomes extremely painful and sometimes leads to restricted body movements.

This is most severe disease in which a body becomes dull and hard to move. Factors relating to it are fatigue, shock, injury, and exposure to cold and dampness. Weak digestion, constipation, overeating and very little physical activity are the symptoms that can develop in a patient of arthritis.

Not only it is due to age factors, genetica factors but also experts believe that emotional stress plays a very important role in the cause of arthritis. These simple cures might just help relieve you from the pain of arthritis.

A gentle massage with warm olive oil is very effective to relieve arthritis pain.

Dilute Garlic, Juniper, Lavender, Sage, Rosemary, Thyme, or Sassafras oils in the proportions of one part to 10 parts of olive oil and use it to massage the painful joints for immediate relief. This is one of the effective home remedies for arthritis.

The patient should be given lukewarm water for a few days, as the first step to prevent arthritis is to relieve constipation.

Steam baths and body massage are beneficial in the arthritis treatment.

All cold-water treatments, such as cold baths and cold sprays, should be avoided.

An extra supplement of calcium, zinc and vitamin C is recommended.

The first thing in the morning is to have fresh juice extracted from potatoes and diluted with water on 50:50 bases.

Circulation around the joints can be improved through tissue-cleansing properties of essential oils, of Juniper, Cypress and Lemon, whereas oils of Lavender, Rosemary and Chamomile have mild analgesic and high anti-inflammatory properties.

The patient suffering from arthritis should not sit idle nor over-exert as immobility may lead to stiffness of joints and over-exertion may lead to damage of ligaments.

The body temperature should be kept warm at all times. Joints should not be bandaged tightly as this limits movement and interferes with the free circulation of blood.

Another effective arthritis cure is the patient should relax for 30 minutes every night in a tub of warm water in which cupful of sea salt has been mixed.

A gentle massage with Arthcare Oil is recommended to relieve arthritis pain and to strengthen the bone tissues.
